Summary
Increases the annual salaries of specified medical personnel employed by the Department of Medicine and Surgery of the Veterans' Administration. (Amends 38 U.S.C. 4107) Permits physicians and dentists in such Department to take leave with pay for pursuit of studies in their areas of specialty after seven years of full time service. Authorizes physicians and dentists who have served with such Department for not less than ten years to be credited for civil service retirement purposes with the time spent studying for their medical or dental degrees, not to exceed nine years. (Adds 38 U.S.C. 4118)
