Summary

Grants credit for retirement purposes to physicians and dentists employed by the Veterans' Administration for a period of 20 years or more, with service equal to the period of time spent in pursuit of the professional doctorate degree up to a maximum allowance of five years. Provides, before benefits can be credited that the physician or dentist must deposit a determined amount in the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Fund. (Amends 38 U.S.C. 4109)
