Summary

Drought Relief through Innovative Projects Act or the DRIP Act This bill requires the Department of Agriculture to establish a program to award grants to qualified partnerships to: (1) remove non-native plant species that contribute to drought conditions, and (2) replace the non-native plant species with native plant species. A "non-native plant species" is a plant species that: (1) is non-native (or alien) to an ecosystem; and (2) when introduced to the ecosystem causes, or is likely to cause, economic harm, environmental harm, or harm to human health. A "qualified partnership" is a partnership between: (1) at least one flood control district; and (2) at least one city, county, township, town, borough, parish, village, or other general purpose political subdivision of a state.
