Summary

Special Federal Crime Coordinator Act of 1982 - Provides for a Special Federal Crime Coordinator (Coordinator) within the Department of Justice to coordinate activities of the Federal agencies working to combat crime in emergency situations. Grants the Attorney General primary responsibility to set priorities and duties for the Coordinator. States that the duties of the Coordinator shall emphasize crimes relating to immigration, narcotics traffic, and customs. Allows the Coordinator to assist State and local governments in their actions relating to crime prevention and control.
