Summary

Automobile Driver Education and Highway Safety Act - Directs the Secretary of Transportation to carry on a national educational campaign designed to educate drivers, pedestians, and others with respect to: (1) the dangers incurred when driving on, crossing, or otherwise using the highways, and (2) improving safety on the highways by improving driver skills, driver attitudes, and driver knowledge of highway regulations. Permits the Secretary to engage in research, provide training, and engage in any other activity which will effectuate the purposes of this Act. Authorizes appropriations of $85,000,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1975, and for each of the two succeeding fiscal years.
