Summary

Prohibits, under the Shipping Act of 1916, the practice of port equalization. Defines the term "port equalization" to mean the practice whereby a carrier provides for the land transportation of cargo from the inland point of origin of the cargo to a port other than the port closest to the inland point of origin and absorbs the additional cost involved in transporting the cargo to the more distant port. (Amends 42 U.S.C. 812)
