Summary
Commuter Air Carrier Act - Authorizes the establishment of a class of commuter air carriers for air carriers which perform at least five round trips per week between two or more points and publish schedules which specify the times, days of the week, and places between which such flights are performed. Authorizes the Civil Aeronautics Board to issue certificates to any carrier meeting the requirements established by the Act and promulgated by the Board thereunder. Provides that if any service authorized by a certificate to an air carrier to engage in commuter air transportation is not performed satisfactorily, the Board may, after notice and hearing, direct that the certificate cease to be effective. (Amends 49 U.S.C. 1301)
