Repeal the Independent Counsel Act of 1999

Summary

Repeal the Independent Counsel Act of 1999 - Repeals the independent counsel statute. Directs any independent counsel (IC) who is in office on the date of this Act's enactment, within 60 days, to: (1) transfer any matter under investigation and any records related to such matter to the Attorney General; (2) file with the division of the court which appointed such IC, and with the Congress, specified reports; and (3) transfer all other records created or received by such IC to the Archivist of the United States. Authorizes the division of the court which receives such report to make the authorized disclosure, and the Archivist to maintain, use, and dispose of such records, as provided for under such statute.
