Summary

Authorizes the Secretary of the Army and the Secretary of the Air Force to prescribe regulations to except National Guard units under their command from the requirement of assembling for drill or instruction at least 48 times each year. (Amends 32 U.S.C. 502(a)(1)) Requires an annual report to the Congress by the Secretary of Defense on the extent that reserve units are specifically divided into training categories. (Amends 10 U.S.C. 2001)
