Summary

Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to construct, operate, and maintain the Pollock-Herreid Unit, South Dakota pumping division, Pick-Sloan Missouri Basin program, South Dakota, for purposes of irrigation, municipal and industrial water supply, and fish and wildlife enhancement. Provides that this project shall be integrated physically and financially with the other Federal works constructed under the Flood Control Act of 1944. Provides a basis for computing interest costs of the unit allocated to municipal and industrial water supply. Authorizes $17,496,000 for construction of the unit and such other amounts as are necessary to operate and maintain the unit.
