Summary

Entitles any former Vice President of the United States to a monthly allowance for life at a yearly rate equal to one-half of the annual pay of the head of an executive department. Entitles the surviving spouse of each former Vice President to receive an allowance at the rate of $20,000 per year, if the surviving spouse waives eligibility for any other annuity or pension provided under another Act of Congress. Prohibits payment of either such allowance for any period during which such a former Vice President or surviving spouse holds a position with the Federal or District of Columbia government to which is attached a pay rate other than a nominal rate.
