Summary

Federal Gun Certification Act - Requires persons who presently possess firearms to obtain from the Secretary of the Treasury a certificate which would evidence their eligibility to possess firearms within 120 days of enactment of this Act, and requires that persons who purchase firearms obtain such certificate. Requires that persons who purchase ammunition possess such certificate. Prescribes criminal penalties for violations of this Act. Provides for reasonable compensation for firearms sent to the Secretary of the Treasury.
