A bill to amend section 17 of the Airport and Airway Development Act of 1970 in order to change the United States share of development costs for certain airports.

Summary

Provides, under the Airport and Airway Development Act, that the United States share of allowable project costs payable on account of any approved airport development project may not exceed: (1) 50 percent for airports which enplane not less than 1 percent of the total annual passengers enplaned by air carriers certificated by the Civil Aeronautics Board; and (2) 75 percent for airports which enplane less than 1 percent of the total annual passengers enplaned by air carriers certificated by the Civil Aeronautics Board and for sponsors of general aviation or reliever airports.
