Summary
Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Reorganization Act of 1983 - Divides the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and creates a Twelfth Circuit, comprising Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. Reassigns former Ninth Circuit judges to the new circuits. Permits specified senior judges of the former Ninth Circuit to elect assignments in either the Ninth or Twelfth Circuit.
