Summary

Veterans Administration Police Amendments of 1983 - Permits the Administrator of Veterans Affairs to designate qualified employees as police officers and to use the law enforcement services and facilities of any Federal or State agency when economical. Increases the criminal penalties for violations of Administration rules and regulations concerning the governing of Veterans Administration property. Empowers such designated employees to enforce Federal laws only while on Veterans Administration property. Permits the Administrator to authorize the use of firearms by such persons only during a national emergency or regional disaster. Establishes rank and grade for such officers.
