Elementary Mathematics and Science Equipment Act

Summary

Amends the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (of which title II part A is the Dwight D. Eisenhower Mathematics and Science Education Act) to revise provisions for mathematics and science education grants and programs with respect to: (1) in-State apportionment; (2) elementary and secondary education programs; (3) higher education programs; (4) technical assistance and evaluation; (5) administrative costs; (6) State and local applications; (7) national programs; (8) Eisenhower regional consortiums; (9) use of funds; (10) regional boards; and (11) Federal share. Extends the authorization of appropriations for the mathematics and science grants and programs under the Act. Includes associated technology education under the definition of mathematics and science. Establishes model science start programs for the introduction of science in early childhood education. Authorizes appropriations. Elementary Mathematics and Science Equipment Act - Authorizes the Secretary of Education to allot funds to State educational agencies to award grants to local educational agencies to provide hands-on instruction equipment and materials to elementary schools to improve mathematics and science education. Authorizes appropriations.
