Summary
International Protection of Patent Rights Act of 1993 - Amends the Trade Act of 1974 to require the United States Trade Representative (USTR) to identify those foreign countries that deny adequate substantive standards with respect to the protection, or market access, for intellectual property rights of U.S. nationals. Sets forth practices constituting denial of adequate substantive standards for the protection of intellectual property rights. Requires inclusion in the USTR's published list of identified foreign countries: (1) information with respect to any act, policy, or practice of a foreign country that denies adequate protection of intellectual property rights; and (2) any action taken (or reasons for not taking action) to eliminate them.
