Summary
Assistance for the Prevention of Abuse of Older Individuals - Amends the Older Americans Act of 1965 to provide grants to States for the establishment and administration of elder abuse prevention and protection programs which: (1) provide public education and outreach activities regarding such abuse; (2) receive reports on abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the elderly; and (3) refer reports of abuse to appropriate abuse prevention organizations. Authorizes appropriations for such programs for FY 1988 through 1991.
