Summary
Hawaii Tropical Forest Products Certification Act - Amends the Hawaii Tropical Forest Recovery Act to direct the Secretary of Agriculture to implement a tropical forest products certification program for Hawaii. Authorizes Hawaii to carry out an alternative State program consistent with this Act. Sets forth voluntary certification standards which shall provide for forest conservation and sustainability, and local economic development. Amends the Federal Crop Insurance Act to establish a Federal crop insurance pilot program to cover eligible producers of forest products.
