Summary
Amends the Council on Wage and Price Stability Act to abolish the office of Deputy Director of the Council on Wage and Price Stability. Revises the authority of the Council to (1) limit its power to require reports to those businesses grossing at least $5,000,000 per year, (2) allow it to require reports and subpena records relating to inventories, shipments, orders, and similar business operations, and (3) permit the council to request the assistance of the Attorney General in obtaining requested reports. Directs that documents voluntarily submitted to the Council remain confidential. Extends the authority of the Council through September 30, 1979.
