Summary

Justice Department Reform Act - Provides that persons holding positions of trust affiliated with the campaign of a President may not be appointed to the offices of Attorney General, Deputy Attorney General, Solicitor General, or Assistant Attorneys General by such President. Provides that the Attorney General, and not the President, shall appoint United States attorneys and marshals. Provides for inclusion of Department of Justice personnel including the Attorney General, Solicitor General, and U.S. Attorneys, under the Hatch Act (prohibiting partisan political activities).
