Summary
Telecommunications Competition Act of 1998 - Amends the Communications Act of 1934 to authorize Bell operating companies and affiliates to provide interstate and intrastate telecommunications services. Supersedes any State or local law that prevents such companies from providing such services. Deems such companies to have met any prerequisite under the Act that conditions the right to provide services in any area.
