Summary
Promoting Regulatory Independence, Mastery, and Expansion for Meat Processing in Indian Country Act or the PRIME Meat Processing in Indian Country Act This bill directs the Department of Agriculture to enter into self-determination contracts with tribal organizations, upon the request of an Indian tribe, to carry out the authority of the Food Safety and Inspection Service for meat processing inspection. A tribe operating under a self-determination contract shall be eligible for water and waste facility loans and grants.
