Summary

Funeral and Remains Transportation and Living Expense Benefits Act of 1989 - Authorizes the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to provide for the recovery, care, and disposition of the remains of any veteran who was awarded a Medal of Honor. Outlines the burial-related expenses the Secretary is authorized to provide. Requires reimbursement in an amount not greater than that normally incurred by the Secretary if an individual pays any expense that is payable by the United States under this Act.
