Summary
Protect Our Children Act of 1998 - Amends the Controlled Substances Act to increase penalties for: (1) distributing drugs to minors; (2) drug trafficking in or near a school or other protected location; and (3) using minors to distribute drugs. Amends the Federal criminal code to subject to twice the maximum term of imprisonment and fine, and three times such term and fine for second or subsequent convictions, adults who knowingly use a minor to commit, or to assist in avoiding detection or apprehension for, a crime of violence.
