Summary

Mount Saint Helens National Volcanic Area Act of 1982 - Designates specified lands within and adjacent to the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in Washington as the Mount Saint Helens National Volcanic Area. Directs the Secretary of Agriculture to acquire all non-Federal lands and interest within the boundaries of the volcanic area. States that lands and interests thus acquired shall become national forest system lands. Authorizes appropriations.
