Summary

Provides that effective with respect to the first vacancy occurring after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Comptroller General of the United States and the Deputy Comptroller General of the United States shall be appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the President pro tempore of the Senate. Provides that the terms of office for such individuals shall be seven years. Provides that an individual appointed as Comptroller General or Deputy Comptroller General pursuant to this Act may be removed from office by either the Senate or the House of Representatives by resolution.
