Summary
Provides that specified property owned and operated by the Northern States Power Company in the State of Wisconsin is hereby taken over by the United States pursuant to the Federal Power Act. States that any lands taken over pursuant to this Act which originally were part of the Lac Courte Oreilles Indian Reservation or were owned by members of the Lac Courte Oreilles Indian Tribe shall be conveyed to the Secretary of the Interior to be held in trust for the benefit of the Lac Courte Oreilles Tribe of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians. Directs the Council on Environmental Quality to determine the manner in which the remaining real and personal property is to be operated for nonpower purposes, so as best to promote the unique wilderness or recreational attributes of the area.
