Summary
Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act Amendments of 1980 - Amends the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 to extend through fiscal year 1984 the authorizations of appropriations to: (1) carry out such Act; and (2) carry on the Juvenile Justice and delinquency Prevention Office. Requires that the administrative functions of such Office, carried out by the Associate Administrator, be under the policy direction and control of the Administrator of the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration. Amends such Act and the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to require that the percentage of total State and local government expenditures made for criminal justice programs which goes to juvenile delinquency programs be maintained as that portion reserved for juvenile delinquency programs from appropriations for each fiscal year allotted to each State under title I of the Omnibus Crime Control.
