Summary
International Travel Act of 1961 Authorization Act of 1984 - Amends the International Travel Act of 1961 to authorize appropriations for FY 1985 to carry out such Act. Directs the Secretary of Commerce to establish a field office of the U.S. Commercial Service in Rapid City, South Dakota. Directs the Secretary to establish six Regional Liaison Centers for the U.S. Travel and Tourism Administration. Requires the Centers to: (1) provide technical assistance to tourism offices of States within the region which the Center serves; and (2) serve as a liaison between such State offices and offices of the U.S. Travel and Tourism Administration. Directs the Secretary, in consultation with the Secretary of State, to establish procedures to ensure that at least one employee in each U.S. embassy located in a foreign nation is trained to promote travel to and within the United States.
