Summary
Alaska National Public Lands Conservation Act - Title I: Establishment of Alaska Scenic Reserve - Establishes the Alaska Scenic Reserve Service as an independent establishment in the executive branch to administer, manage, and protect the public lands and waters designated as components of the Reserve. Provides that the Reserve shall be used for recreational, timber leasing, and such other pruposes as its Co-Directors shall prescribe, provided such purposes are consistent with Federal law. Title II: Designation of Areas - Designates specifically described public lands in Alaska as components of the Alaska Scenic Reserve. Designates specifically described segments of Birch Creek, Beaver Creek, and Unalakleet as portions of the Wild and Scenic River System. Provides that hunting and subsistence hunting in the Reserve shall be governed by the laws of the State of Alaska. Title III: Multimodal Transportation and Utility Corridor System - Reserves specified corridors within the Reserve for transportation and utility purposes.
