Summary
Authorizes the Secretary of Transportation to financially assist the owner of a bridge over navigable waters in the construction or alteration of a bridge protection system. Allows a bridge owner who determines that the bridge involved is susceptible to damage due to the absence of a bridge protection system or the inadequacy of an installed bridge protection system to apply to the Secretary for such financial assistance. Limits such financial assistance to an amount equal to 75 percent of the cost of construction or alteration of the bridge protection system.
