Summary
Increases the penalty for violations of the Gun Control Act. Extends the Act to prohibit the carrying, as well as the use, of firearms while committing a felony, as defined by State or Federal law, that threatens life or property. Prohibits giving suspended or probationary sentences to first as well as multiple offenders. Authorizes the Attorney General of the United States to publicize the provisions of this Act and authorizes to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to carry out this provision.
