Summary
Authorizes the payment of compensation at a rate of $3,000 for each person who suffered wounds or other bodily injury in the massacre of Sioux Indians at Wounded Knee Creek on December 29, 1880. Provides for a payment to any injured individual or to the heirs of any such injured individual. Authorizes the payment of $3,000 for each Sioux Indian man, woman, or child who died in such massacre to be paid to the heirs of such deceased Indian. Requires the Secretary of the Interior to report to the Congress on the Indians killed or wounded at such massacre.
