Summary

Office of Rural Broadband Act This bill requires the Federal Communications Commission to establish the Office of Rural Broadband, whose duties shall include: coordinating with the Rural Utilities Service and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to ensure the success of initiatives and programs, coordinating with the Universal Service Administrative Company to maintain information regarding programs that deploy rural broadband, coordinating with agencies to remove barriers to broadband deployment, and tracking broadband Internet subscription rates in rural areas.
