Summary

Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe Water Rights Settlement Act of 1992 - Ratifies the Settlement Agreement between Prescott, Arizona, the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe, and the United States providing for the settlement of all water claims between and among the parties. Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to acquire the Central Arizona Project (CAP) contract or subcontracts of the Tribe, the Camp Verde Water System, the Cottonwood Water Works, Inc., the Mayer Water District, Payson, and Prescott in exchange for funds appropriated to the Verde River Basin Water Fund established under this Act. Allows assignment of water to the Fort McDowell Indian Community. Directs the establishment of the Verde River Basin Water Fund to be used to develop replacement water for the CAP water relinquished under this Act. Authorizes appropriations. Requires entities relinquishing a contract or subcontract to comply with environmental laws in developing alternative water sources.
