Summary
United States Information Agency Authorization Act, Fiscal Years 1977 and 1978 - Authorizes the appropriation of $263,908,000 and such additional sums as may be necessary for the United States Information Agency to carry out international informational activities and programs under the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948, the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961, and the Reorganization Plan Numbered 8 of 1953. Amends the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948 (1) to permit the purchase of uniforms, and (2) to make available exchange allowances or proceeds from the exchange or sale of passenger vehicles used abroad for purposes of this Act.
