Summary
Germicide Act of 1992 - Amends the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to include germicides in the definition of "device." Defines "germicide" to mean an agent described in specified provisions of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act which is used for sterilization or disinfection of a device. Allows classification of a germicide in class III only if necessary to provide reasonable assurance of safety and effectiveness.
