A bill to amend title 10, United States Code, to authorize a tuition assistance program for eligible enlisted members of the Selected Reserve of the Ready Reserve of the Armed Forces.

Summary

Authorizes each of the Secretaries of the various military departments or the Secretary of Transportation with respect to the Coast Guard when it is not operating as a service in the Navy, to establish a program of tuition assistance to members of the Selected Reserve of the Ready Reserve of each armed force to enable such members to pursue studies at a post-secondary educational level. Sets forth the requirements for receipt of such assistance and stipulates the amount of assistance which may be made available. Authorizes appropriations in such amounts as are necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act. (Adds 10 U.S.C. 2001a)
