Summary
States that it is U.S. policy to redeploy U.S. forces from Iraq by July 1, 2007, while maintaining in Iraq the minimal level of U.S. forces sufficient to engage directly in targeted counterterrorism activities, train Iraq security forces, and protect U.S. infrastructure and personnel in Iraq. Directs the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of State to jointly submit to Congress a report setting forth the strategy for such redeployment.
