Summary
Fishing Claims Assignment Act - Authorizes the Secretary of Commerce, under the Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956, to make non-interest bearing loans to United States fishermen to cover the costs of damages to their commercial fishing vessels and gear, and spoiled fish resulting from such damages, by vessels (including crews) of a foreign nation. Sets forth the terms of such loans. Establishes the United States Fishing Vessel Claims Commission to investigate each incident. Authorizes to be appropriated such sums as necessary to carry out this Act. (Adds 16 U.S.C. 742c(f)(1)).
