Summary
Hospital Quality Reporting Improvement Act of 2006 - Amends title XVIII (Medicare), as amended by the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005, with respect to requirements for payments to hospitals for inpatient hospital services. Requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to adopt certain consensus-based measures, approved by national organizations with health care quality expertise, which are designed to reduce the likelihood of hospital medication errors.
