Summary
Congressional Salary Act of 1987 - Amends the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 to declare the rate of pay for Members of Congress to be that which is payable for such positions on the date of enactment of this Act. Requires increases in such rate of pay to take effect at the beginning of the following Congress. Requires a recorded vote on bills or resolutions which provide for an increase in Member pay. Repeals current provisions of the Federal Salary Act of 1967 relating to congressional procedures for approving or disapproving the President's recommendation for congressional salaries, judicial salaries, and the pay of certain Federal officials.
