Summary
Federal Judges Pay Act of 1989 - Amends the Federal judicial code to set the salaries of Federal judges as follows: (1) the Chief Justice at $149,500; (2) for each associate justice at $143,000; (3) for each circuit judge at $123,500; (4) for each Federal district court judge, each U.S. Claims Court judge, and each Court of International Trade judge at $116,400; (5) for each bankruptcy judge and each full-time magistrate at $107,100. (Provides a computation to determine rate of pay for part-time magistrates). Amends the Federal Salary Act of 1967 to remove judicial salaries from the purview of the Commission on Executive, Legislative, and Judicial Salaries and to rename such Commission as the Commission on Executive and Legislative Salaries.
