Summary
Amends the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, 1989 to authorize the Architect of the Capitol to solicit and receive gifts as well as to dispose, use, obligate, expend, disburse, and administer them for the benefit of the U.S. Botanic Garden (including programs, duties, or functions of the Garden). (Current law authorizes the Architect only to accept gifts for such purpose.) Authorizes the Architect to accept personal services, including educationally related work assignments for students in nonpay status, if the service is to be rendered without compensation.
