Gun Kingpin Death Penalty Act of 1997 - Amends the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act to provide that any person who commits murder or successfully orders a murder committed during the course of trafficking in 25 or more firearms shall be sentenced to: (1) a term of imprisonment of not less than 20 years and up to life; or (2) death.
