Summary

Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to enter into agreements with the appropriate officials of the States of New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona to provide financial and other assistance, upon terms and conditions prescribed by the Secretary, to such States to encourage them: (1) to designate the route of the expedition of Father Silvestre Velez de Escalante in 1776 as the Escalante Trail; and (2) to erect or place appropriate markers along such route.
