Summary

Constitutional Amendment - Provides that the Constitution shall not abridge the right of persons lawfully assembled, in any public school or other public building which is supported by public funds, to participate voluntarily in nondenominational prayer or meditation. Requires ratification by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission to the States, otherwise the article shall be inoperative.
