Summary
Declares that a central goal of U.S. international security policy should be to achieve a mutually verifiable agreement for the curbing of the development, production, testing, and deployment of nuclear weapons and for their reduction and ultimate elimination. Requests the President to consider the facts presented and steps recommended in the Declaration on Prevention of Nuclear War which was issued by scientists who met at an assembly convened by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences. Requests the President to report on the Declaration to the Congress and the American people.
