Joint resolution making continuing appropriations for the fiscal year 1976, and for other purposes.

Summary

Appropriates out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated such amounts as may be necessary for continuing projects or activities which were conducted in fiscal year 1975 and for which appropriations, funds, or other authority would be available in appropriation Acts of fiscal year 1976 as specified in this resolution. Provides that such appropriations shall be available to the extent and in the manner which would be provided by the pertinent appropriation Act. Directs that whenever the amount which would be made available or the authority which would be granted under an Act specified in this resolution as passed by the House as of July 1, 1975, is different from that which would be available or granted under such Act as passed by the Senate as of July 1, 1975, the project shall be continued under the lesser amount or the more restrictive authority. Appropriates such amounts as may be necessary not in excess of the budget estimate, for continuing projects or activities for which disbursements are made by the Secretary of the Senate, and the Senate items under the Architect of the Capitol, to the extent and in the manner which would be provided for in the budget estimates for fiscal year 1976. Specifies those items covered by this provision. Provides that appropriations and funds made available by this joint resolution shall remain available until other appropriation is made or until enactment of the applicable appropriation Act by both Houses without any provision for such project or activity or until sine die adjournment of the first session of the 94th Congress, whichever first occurs. Directs that expenditures made pursuant to this joint resolution shall be charged to the applicable appropriation, containing such authorization, when enacted into law.
